Celebrate Today – tomorrow we work

You Used Your Voices Yesterday – AND You Were Heard!
We Won BIG!

After days, weeks, and months of phoning, mailings and door-to-door canvassing, our pro-choice voters turned out in terrific numbers.

Shelley Mayer is now our NYS Senator for the 37th District – AND Terry Clements is our Westchester County Legislator for the 11th District.

These are huge victories for women’s reproductive rights and comprehensive healthcare. Our newly elected Senator and County Legislator will both fight for Westchester County and New York State.

Yesterday brought us one step closer to making New York State a reproductive rights sanctuary – the importance of which cannot be overlooked or overstated in the era of Trump BUT we have a long road to travel.

Celebrate today, because tomorrow we go back to work. On Tuesday, June 26th, we have Congressional primaries which are the first step in taking back the House of Representatives. On Thursday, September 13th, we have the NYS primaries which are key to electing a pro-choice pro-active government in Albany. Then on Tuesday, November 6th, we have the General Election. Too much is at stake.

All of these elections will be too important to sit out – and we will need all pro-choice hands on deck!

We will keep you posted as we move forward. Enjoy Today.

These elections go far beyond a battle between pro-choice candidates and anti-choice ones. They go to the fate of reproductive healthcare in the State of New York, and across the country.

A Reminder: The Reproductive Health Act updates New York’s abortion laws, which were implemented three years before the Roe v. Wade (Roe) decision by the U.S. Supreme Court. NY law does not presently provide the full constitutional protection that is guaranteed under Roe. Passing the Reproductive Health Act will simply codify the protections guaranteed under Roe into New York State law. This would protect women in New York State in case Trump succeeds in overturning RoeThe Reproductive Health Act
