Make no mistake, our reproductive rights are under daily attack.
We all know about the attempt to defund Planned Parenthood, but did you know that Congress has attempted to pass 54 bills restricting abortion this year alone?
Have you seen the reports of arson and other violence against abortion providers and facilities?
Did you hear about the woman who is serving a 20-year prison sentence under a fetal homicide law for supposedly self-aborting her pregnancy?
Most people think that New York State is safe but, in reality, the state is cutting funding, and providers are being put out of business. 53% of New York counties have no abortion clinics and there are zero facilities that can perform a life-saving abortion after 24 weeks.
Even here in Westchester, women are harassed and threatened while trying to access reproductive and non-reproductive health care at our local clinics and we don’t have the votes to pass a law to protect women and clinics.
Use this Pro-Choice Bingo card to make note of all the ways that women’s right to health care is mocked, blocked or infringed upon. Anti-choice politicians are playing games with our rights.
We have an opportunity this year to elect a Board of Legislators that can override the County Executive’s destructive, anti-woman’s reproductive health agenda and pass the Clinic Access Bill. Please share this post and donate to WCLA-PAC.
